Construction lawyers say real estate deals are up 110%

A total of $723 million in contracts for future commercial and residential construction were awarded in South Florida in June — up 101 percent year-over-year from $360 million, according to Dodge Research Analytics cited by the Daily Business Review.
For those in construction law, the swath of cranes swinging above South Florida mean dollar signs. “It’s what I call good-economy construction litigation, meaning that things are being built and they are selling,” said attorney Alan Kluger, a partner at Kluger Kaplan. “We are in a boom. There is no doubt about it.” -
